Coverage: 14 September 2026. Today’s short digest brings together two verified updates: practical information for airBaltic passengers travelling to Cyprus, and an outdoor cinema evening on the Limassol coast.
airBaltic says flights continue during financial restructuring
airBaltic announced on 14 September that it had entered a US Chapter 11 financial reorganisation. The airline says flights will continue as scheduled and existing tickets and reservations remain valid. Reuters also reported its commitment to maintaining scheduled operations during the process.
This matters for Cyprus travellers because airBaltic serves the Larnaca–Riga route. The announcement is not a notice that those flights have been cancelled. Before travelling, check your individual flight’s status and any messages from the airline or your booking agent.
Why it matters to visitors: passengers can distinguish the restructuring headlines from the airline’s current travel instructions.
Pizza and two beach screenings of Luca on 25 September
A 14 September announcement sets out a new two-screening format for Starlit Screens’ Pizza & Movie evening on 25 September at Parekklisia/Malindi Beach in Limassol.
Pixar’s Luca is scheduled for 7:30pm and 9:45pm, with pizza supplied by Abovo Pizza. The reported €30 ticket includes a screening, pizza and popcorn. Bookings are handled by messaging Starlit Screens on Instagram; confirm availability and the screening language before paying.
Why it matters to visitors: two start times offer a choice for an evening by the sea, with food included in the advertised ticket.
