A new way to explore Cypriot art and heritage
Cyprus announced a pilot programme of public visits to the Presidential Palace on 23 September. The first tours, on Saturday 3 October, will introduce the collection “Cyprus: the World, the Place, the Word, the Matter,” bringing together Cypriot art and antiquities.

This conceptual gallery scene does not depict the Presidential Palace or its actual collection.
There are 150 places for adults aged 18 and over, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The approximately one-hour tours will be in Greek, starting at 09:00, 10:30 and 12:00. Selected participants must meet at the English School car park 30 minutes beforehand for minibus transport.
Registration through the Deputy Ministry of Culture requires a name and identity-card number. The announcement does not clarify passport acceptance or eligibility for overseas tourists: visitors should check those points, and availability, with the ministry on +357 22 309530 before making plans. This is a booked pilot visit, not a daily walk-in attraction.
Why it matters to visitors: the initiative offers a new cultural experience in Nicosia, but advance arrangements and the Greek-language format are essential considerations.
